The "Sounds of Victory!" Radio Program began on

February 4th,1990 in Phoenix,Arizona.  The program was founded and hosted by Pastor Steve Kovac, then Pastor of the Living Word Community Church of north Phoenix.

The program first aired from 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. on KHEP 1280, Phoenix on February 4, 1990.

That same year, Pastor Kovac and his family moved to Yuma, Arizona, where he returned to a congregation that he founded in 1983 - Victory Community Church - taking the program to Yuma on station KCFY until 1994.

In December, 1994, Pastor Kovac and his family moved to begin a new church - Good News Lutheran Brethren - in McAlisterville, Pennsylvania.  The program first aired at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 5, 1995 on WJUN 1220 AM in Mifflintown, PA, and continued until May 12, 2002, when the Kovac's moved for a brief mission to Mesa, Arizona.

The Kovac's returned to McAlisterville in March of 2003, and the Sounds of Victory! Radio Program began once again on Sunday, September 21, 2003 at 8:00 a.m. on WJUN, Mifflintown, PA.

The program is now part of the ministries of the

Calvary Community Free Church of Juniata County,

where Pastor Kovac serves as the founding Pastor.

The radio program celebrated its 14th anniversary

February, 2004.

(The Radio Program stopped when it became neccessary to devote full resources to the youth ministry, but just as before, we are always ready to bring it back when it is God's timing!)
